Hey there! 👋 We’re Christian and Eric—artists, storytellers, and professional sock‑wranglers.
As kids, we built entire worlds out of couch cushions and whatever we could get our hands on. Turns out, we never really grew out of it.
We’ve worked across theater, design, and visual art, and now we’ve joined forces to bring it all together in one delightfully absurd, handmade, and totally unexpected place.
Welcome to Sockz Studio.

Sockz Studio: Handcrafted Puppetry & Storytelling
Sockz Studio is the creative collaboration of artists Christian Perry and Eric Tsuchiyama, bringing handcrafted storytelling to life through inventive puppetry, visual artistry, and absurd comedy.Their adaptation of I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly (2023) was screened in theaters across the U.S. as part of Children’s Film Festival Seattle’s Best of the Fest Tour. Their short film Orbie (2022) was featured in The New York Times' 5 Things To Do This Weekend, and their original series The Lab Rat (2025) was an official selection of Best of BAMKids Film Festival (Honorable Mention) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
With over 2.5 million channel views, Sockz Studio has cultivated a rapidly growing digital audience. In 2024, they partnered with Red Tower Books—one of the fastest-growing publishing imprints (home to the mega-hit Fourth Wing)—to produce Sock Puppet Summaries, a fresh and comedic take on book recaps. They’ve also teamed up with Miami-Dade Public Library for Music & Materials, a series of artist visits sharing their imaginative art practice with local communities.
Blending nostalgia, found-object art, and offbeat humor, Sockz Studio is redefining puppetry for a new generation.
